I can’t believe I’m writing this but I do feel a need to warn newcomers as I wasn’t informed diligently of my excruciating surprise. I would like to also mention I go to Disney EVERY year maybe 2-3 times. So I’m very familiar with the general WDW area. I’ve never stayed at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom’s Kiddani village resort, but decided to give it a try. As it was not only for me but for a dear friends birthday and another friends first time to WDW… BOY WAS I SURPRISED BY HOW I WAS TREATED… I would also like to mention I worked as front desk person and as part of housekeeping once upon a time for a high end Marriott in NYC. And always made sure to read notes, etc… on reservations made by guests. If I had seen my own reservation as an employee, I would never have provided a guest with a room ALL the way at the back of the resort to someone who was celebrating their birthday and to a first timer. I felt so disrespected by this especially considering this place is $700+/ A NIGHT…. The only people I can consider that were genuinely nice to us while we were there was the housekeeping ladies on our floor, the bell stand gentleman in the lobby, the valet man and a young lady by the front Desk that complimented my friends who’s first time was there, Star Wars jacket. But there was an interesting fellow in the gift shop who didn’t even greet us when we walked in but just watched us. The lady that was there the following day in his place was much nicer. THANK GOODNESS. Otherwise, I would highly recommend to anybody else thinking of staying here DON’T waste your money here and if you do, may god bless you on your journey to your room, DEFINITELY request to be by the lobby otherwise you’ll pretty much be getting off by the animal kingdom park having to walk back to the lobby/ bus drop off area… I am BEYOND SEVERELY disappointed in all of this and how me and my friends were treated… never would I have anticipated such an experience from such a “luxury” resort. I am severely heart broken… THIS PLACE IS NOT worth $700+ a night not even $400……..

I give this place 4.5 stars. The service was nice. We had a great experience at the check-in desk. The rooms are a little outdated, but get the job done. The location, however, is a bit far from the parks and feels like everything takes 30-45 minutes to get to anywhere because it's only bus option. The atmosphere however is quite and relaxing, if you enjoy watching animals, this is the spot. Sat on my balcony one evening definitely enjoyed the view. Many different species available at different spots around the hotel, it was fun to see the giraffes run.

What an incredible stay we had in a two bedroom lockout suite with savanna view!!! Awesome room design - love the Disney details so much!! Savanna view was worth every penny as we saw giraffes and zebras nearly every day. The pool area at Kidani Village is SO much nicer that Jambo, with an awesome kids play area and a smaller “watering hole” feeling. This resort is pretty far away from Magic Kingdom but not too bad to the rest, especially AK of course!!

This was our first time staying at the village. We have been twice before, but at the jumbo house. The things that stand out as a difference are the cool area and splash pad at Kidani are amazing. Also, the atmosphere is much more relaxed and calm. The food is really good at Sanaa, but if you do not go there, there are not very many other options.

Stayed here for a week with a Savannah View Room Rooms: The rooms are dated and a bit run down, we had a couple issues with the room and they were all fixed within the hour by maintenance. We had a great location close to the pool which was very handy. Bathrooms were very spacious. Service 10/10 between bell services and the front desk! They were always available to help us. Pool Bar was hit or miss but not a deal breaker. Food was reasonable but I expected table service (like at Swan/ Dolphin) not fast food service. Not a deal breaker though. Shuttles. We didn’t wait longer than 5 minutes ever. Quick and easy! Animal Knowledge experts were so lovely to our son who asked so many questions. They were all well versed in their knowledge. Food: Breakfast was quick service in Boma restaurant. Great portions and varieties. Lunch & dinner we had at the pool but some days made our way over to Jambo so our child had more selection. 3 minute bus ride so it was worth it. Mickey waffles are to die for ! Overall, a fantastic stay.
